I knew this company because MIRAE-ASSET is leading financial service group not only in Korea but in Asia. My parents also have a private asset manager in this company, so I had an opportunity to meet private asset manager last year to talk about the investment plan. MIRAE-ASSET was established by Hyunju PARK who is known for legendary personnel investor in Korea. He established MIRAE-ASSET in 1997 and revolutionized the fund management industry with introduction of portfolio investment principles in Korea. Back then, there was an Asian financial crisis, so every investor was in panic. But by his foresight, he made a lot of money on the stock market and has developed MIRAE-ASSET as one of the world’s largest investor in Emerging market.

I think that resume and cover letter should be much related to company’s philosophy, vision, core values and investment principles on the website.
I can use keywords such as objectivity, team play, citizenship, emerging market, building on principles, and future with an open mind.

First of all, knowledge of financial market is important. I got two U.S. actuary certifications and be planned to get two more before apply the job. So I think these Licenses can well prove my ability to work in this field. Computer skill is also important. Since most of the task in financial market use statistical program to find out useful information, computer skill is essential to get a job. Sociability can be another important factor. It is little bit awkward to say as a skill, but sociability is important qualification to work well with others. We can’t work alone in work place. All people take their parts and need to communicate constantly with other people to work perfectly. In this reason, sociability is important.
