JunSup Lee-Job Market Research

Since I am double majoring in management and accounting, I had a market research on accounting related jobs which are not necessarily company's main goal.

1. Korean jobs require only College graduation which major is related to their position. Certificates are recommended but not required. CPA is required for the accounting related jobs in U.S. Basic requirements are similar; asking if you have ability to solve porblems, deal with Word and Excel, and have good communication and writing skills. The jobs that I chose does not require experience since they are all entry level positions but most of jobs in both countries require three years or more experience in similar field. For the investment firms, almost all of the companies requires experiences. I was not able to find major differences in these jobs.
2. Jobs in both countries offers similar compensations. Both jobs offer many kinds of insurances (auto, dental,...), financial support for the children, bonus for the vacation, tuition support and so on. However, there are also differences. Jobs in U.S have more compensations including retirement plan for employees and on-site services (hospital, Children care center,....). Only for the compensation, I think it is better to work in U.S.
3. All of the four companies starts their mission statement by showing their success. Then, they are talking about their future plans how they will prepare and make huge success. Also, they mention that their company is totally different from any other companies in the same fields. In the mission statement, they say that they persue the goals which are not only making profit but also achieving company's own purposes. The information in the statements is different from companies to companies that I selected because fields are different even though the positions I want are similar. However, the way that they describe themselves is similar to each other.
