Please listen to the first 31 minutes or so of this radio program (the half that deals with Bacon Salt):
Now write a response to what you have just heard. The response should run about 250 words. You may write about anything you like, your personal reaction to the product or its inventors, but if you need something to write about, respond to any or all of the following prompts.
1) The inventors talk on several occasions about being lucky at the outset of their venture. Take one example of "luck" and try to imagine what they would have had to do if they had not been so fortunate. (The Funniest Home Videos story is probably the most prominent example). What steps would they have had to take if not for being in the right place at the right time, or knowing the right people?
2) If you had a hundred thousand dollars to invest (and you had to invest it in something), would you invest in Bacon Salt? Whether you say yes or no, try to tell me what you are basing your decision on. What factors do you think go into making that kind of investment decision?
